Day 28: LOONNGG Day

I am so sore today! My knee is killing me and I'm just ready for bed. I'm not used to being this worn out after ANY day unless its been at an amusement park or when I used to play softball.  You know that, "Been in the sun all day/working hard/sweat every drop of moisture out of my body" worn out. Of course, I'm not that kind of worn out today since I've been in class and at work. But my "worn out" is at least comparable. I didnt do anything out of the ordinary to I dont see why I feel this way. Ok, enough of that since it doesnt really matter. Jake showed me picture of one of his babies today. Its what they call  a dun and he is vere excited to have one of his own. This particular dun is a dun-badge-white flight. Look to the dull brown for this particular one. The other is bluecheck-self It will be beautiful when it gets older and feathers out. Right now they still have some "baby fuzz" :) I'm excited to see what happens with these cute ones!! :)

Day 27: Same ole' thing

Getting back into the routine of school this week. Its amazing how one week can mess everything up. Found out more about the Bio test that many people cheated on. Apparently the cops are even involved now! Crazy how much people will go through just for a better test grade. So not only did the University drop the test for EVERYONE, they are looking further into the case and know who cheated (in the way they found out) and they have proof. Looks like that good grade earned quit a few students on a train out of college. Not only will they be expelled, its unlikely any other college will accept them if the cheating was as severe as its being led on! I really want to find out more but I doubt they will be giving out much more information. Today I will share another random picture from my giant files on my computer :) I promise I'll have some new ones up soon.

Day 26: Back to School

I have been so behind on keeping up with my blog. Good reason #1, school is back in session and after having a nice long week out...its taken me a bit to get back into the routine. My camera seems forgotten in its bag at the end of the couch. Dear me, I better get back on this! Thinking of my family today too. I wanted to share a sweet picture of my niece that I took a while back for a cutest kids contest.

Day 25: Church

We finally made it back to Hyland Park this week. We've really missed our "family" there. With both of us in school, working, and making so many trips back home...it gets hard to keep connected there. I love it though. I am so glad we found a church family who is so understanding and checks in on us every time we miss, even if they know why we are gone. With everything being so crazy, I don't have a picture to share from today so I we'll share some more from the weekend with my family. They are some of my favorite so I am happy to share more of them :)

I don't know why but this picture makes me laugh. My sister wanted to put her legs up on the gorilla's shoulders so bad. You can see how awkward it was for her to sit this way. Our sweet brother was tryin to hold her up :)

Day 24: The Park

Well we woke up this morning and took Addie back to the hotel to spend more time with family and swim. Jake tried to fix my car window. Its been leaking. And found that under my seat was SOAKED. We figured it was from the shirt we had be leaving in the window to catch the leaking water. It had dripped down below the seat. So he dried, vaccumed, and dried some more. We've been leaving the widows cracked and its almost dry now. Thank the Lord. After my parents got the kids stuff together we headed to the park for lunch. It was such a beautiful day so it was nice to get out and enjoy a few more hours with everyone. We walked to the creek, tried out the monkey bars, and played frisbee. This day just topped of my weekend. After they left me and Jake went and played mini golf then went to grabbed some dinner. Taking some time to relax before its back to school. I'm really not looking forward to it. I wanted to share a few more pictures of my sibblings from the weekend. :)

Day 23: Gentry Safari & The Hunger Games

Had an AWESOME day with the family. We met my parents and the kids in Gentry Arkansas and went through the Safari and petting zoo. They had a blast and so did we. I was so excited to have my brother Austin along. I don't get to see him much anymore and I really miss it. I'm glad he decided to come but I'm hoping he can come back on his own when his leg heals. I know he'd enjoy it more. After we got back from the Safari me and my mom went to see The Hunger Games. It was very good! There was a few parts I was disappointed with that didnt line up with the book but over all it was awesome! :) After that we met everyone else at the hotel my family was staying in and swam for a bit. Addie ended up staying the night with me and Jake. Over all it ended up being a great day, one of the best actually. I love spending time with my family!

Day 22: WORK

Jake worked a 12 hr shift today and I worked the evening shift. I got the house and other things ready for the weekend. My entire family (mom, dad, and all three sibblings) are coming down for the weekend. I'm so excited to head to the Gentry Safari. Me and mom are also going to see The Hunger Games. I even went and picked up our preordered tickets!! :) Beyond excited to have a girls night with mom and see a movie we are both so excited about. Jake also found out his new feed is in today that he's pretty excited about. Good feed for his birds is hard to come by around here for some reason. He wants it to be clean and full or protein, but not too much. He's pretty picky but I guess its worth it when he starts to fly his birds. They need a good combination when it comes to flying to help with time and spin.

Day 21: Sweet Hubby

Aww...well tonight I came home to a sweet and romantic surprise from my husband. He is so considerate. I love that man so much!! He also brought me a Dr. Pepper to work and stayed to talk for a bit. I love having husband who thinks so much about me. I realize more and more each day how blessed I am to have a man willing to go out of his way to make sure I'm happy each and every day. I'll give you a sneak at part of his romatic surprise ;)

Day 20: Pain

Today, my knee decided to try and kill me. Its so sore and I have no idea what happened. Every time I bend down or move just right, it feels like my bones are grinding together. I hope this stops before the weekend. I'm so ready for more family time with EVERYONE this time. As far as I know my oldest brother Austin is coming and I'm so excited. He hardly ever is home when I go and never comes with mom and dad to Fayetteville. We are taking the kids to Gentry drive-thru Safari then me and my mom are going to watch The Hunger Games. We both read the books so we are SO excited abou the weekend.

I forgot to share a picture of the birds from this weekend. This isnt one of my better shots I've taken but they were too high up to get much better.

Day 19: A to Z

Today we went to A to Z. It was a lot of fun enjoying one last day with Sharon. I got some good deals and even to mom's birthday gift. I got a new purse and a few pieces of jewlery. This weekend was a lot of fun for us all. Sharon got a relaxing weekend and Jake and I had something different to do with a great lady :) We really enjoyed ourselves. Sharon left not too long ago so now we are just enjoying each others company and resting from the weekend. Jake is working on a new flag for when he starts flying again. It helps to keep the birds from landing before its time. And I'm watching How I Met Your Mother. One of my VERY favorite shows :) So funny!!

Day 18: Pigeon Fly

Today we went to a pigeon fly for Jake's club. He didnt fly this time because none of his birds are ready. The family whose home we went to has lots of animals. They have peacocks, llamas, goats, chickens, pigeons, emus, dogs, and no telling what else. Me and Sharon really enjoyed the company of the owners wife and daughter. The animals were great and I got a few pictures of the baby goats. They were left by their mothers and bottle fed by the family, which explains why they have a dog like personality. :) I had a great day, got a little red, and left with a happy husband. He really enjoyed the day learning more about birds and having the company of his fellow pigeon "fanciers". So, enjoy the photos and let me know how cute you think they are ;)

Day 17: Spades

I had a fun day with Sharon and Jake. I had to work from 2-6 so they enjoyed some time together. Now we are playing Spades and enjoying each others company. Sorry not a lot to update today. We are going to enjoy our time together while we have it! There is a club pigeon fly tomorrow so you can expect quite a few pictures! We're all really excited!!

Day 16: Mom-in-Law

My mother in law is spending the  weekend with us. She got here around 630 and we headed to walmart in her brand new car. We wanted to go for a ride and she wanted to get some Arkansas merch. She is excited to be here and relax for a weekend and we are excited to have her. I have to work tomorrow for a few hours so that will give her and my husband some time together. No big plans for the weekend so we're just going to enjoy each others company.

Here is her new beautiful fancy car!! :)

Day 15: Brothers

There's no other love like the love for a brother. There's no other love like the love from a brother. ~Terri Guillemets

I love my brothers to much. My oldest brother who is 18 has really been on my heart for the last two weeks. He has been going through a lot and its just getting worse. My prayers have been so strong for him to get past all this mess around him. I'm glad he'll be graduating high school soon. That will get him away from SO much that is going on right now. I can't imagine how I'd feel if my high school experiance was like his. On top of all else thats going on, he has surgery today. He tore his ACL which prevented him from playing basketball the last half of his senior year.  I know that was tough for him!! Today my day pretty much consisted of taking to my mom about him, and trying to get ahold of him too. My thoughts, heart, and prayers are so with him today. I decided to post one of his senior pictures that I took a few months ago. Please enjoy and if your the praying type, please say a quick prayer that he'll be strong and finish high school on a good note.

Day 14: Beautiful Day

Today was so nice. I spent most of my time on campus while Jake was at work. Pretty normal day for the both of us. Jake has been pretty stressed with work, school, and everything else going on so it was a tough day for him. Next week will be good for the both of us. Although I'm at little upset with my work schedule. I go into work at 5 three days next week and thats when Jake gets home. I guess it won't be a real Spring Break for either of us. I am glad we get to see our parents and enjoy some time with my sibblings though!!

Neither of us can wait until its time to fly again. I love to go out and capture some great shots and he just loves his birds. This one I took this past summer I believe and this is the edited version I did for his clubs annual tshirt.

Day 13: Ready for Spring Break

Today I'm thinking about how ready I am for Spring Break. I am ready for this week to be over with so I can enjoy a week free from school. This weekend Jake's mom is coming to stay then the next my parents and siblings are coming and we are heading to Gentry. Gentry has a drive through Safari and the kids are SO excited to go. I have to admit, I am too. I decided to post an older picture of mine. Back in the old days when me and Jake were dating in high school. We're coming up on 9 months of marriage so I thought it'd be fun to share a few old pictures with everyone! :)

Day 12: Just Another Day

Today consisted of the usual. School. I didnt work today so Jake and I actually got to spend a full evening together. This doesnt happen very often during the week. This weekend I allowed myself to have carbs. I just had to have some of mom's cooking, she never disappoints. Going low carb has been so hard for me because I LOVE pasta, potatos, and bread and we all know these are FULL of carbs. However, I did find a snack I really enjoy. Its not no carb, but its low carb for what is normal I guess. Cracker Chips!! These things are so good and have much fewer carbs than regular chips. They have been my best friend with their wonderful saltyness. Yum!!!

Day 11: Leaving Family

We had such a great weekend. We stayed with my parents and spent a lot of time with Kyler and Addie. When we left today she cried and cried and would not let go of me. It was a combination of her being tired and sad. I felt so bad. I promised to write her a letter, which is something I do a lot for the both of them. They are still young enough that it is cool to get things in the mail. Heck, its always cool to get things in the mail!! I am so blessed to have a family who loves me and also accepts my husband. Dad and Jake did a lot together this weekend and that made me very happy. Now its time to focus on school again and get things done before Spring Break. I decided to add one more picture of Addison. She loves the camera and her favorite part is to make funny faces.

Day 10: Fun in the Sun

Me and my mom spent the day talking about nothing while the boys worked outside on the hog pen. I decided to take a while and spend some extra time outside with my youngest brother and sister. We took some pictures and had a lot of fun. I just love being able to spend time with my family when we come home from school. I'm looking forward to another day full of fun tomorrow. Hoping my 18 year old brother will make it back to spend some time with me. You know how it is...he's too cool to hang out with his "big sis". If he makes it, I'm hoping to sneak a picture with him. He's a tough one; being so camera shy and all. I love my family to pieces!! I have so many pictures to share today because I couldnt decide.

The first picture is of my sister Addison. She is also known as my twin. My mom, me, and her all look identical at corresponding ages.

The next is me and Addison. She LOVES to take pictures.

The next is my brother Kyler shooting some baskets.

And last but not least is my baby boy Elek. He is getting old but he's been the best dog. I miss him so much since I had to leave him here with mom and dad!

Day 9: Family Time

Finally made it home for family time. Its been  much needed. I will probably update this weekend but I won't have long posts. I plan on spending as much time with my family as possible. I did well on my Spanish Oral exam and I am so excited about it. It makes me feel great about the rest of the semester. I am looking forward to the rest of the semester now and am looking forward to seeing how well I can do. Here is a picture of my youngest brother. He wasnt sure he wanted his picture taken but I did it anyway :)

Day 8: Making Time

We have been so busy this week. Tonight we decided to spend some much needed time together and catch up on whats happened this week. Disappointed by a few things and we've both been stressed, so some time to calm down and relax with each other is so very needed. Tomorrow we both have class then we are headed home to see the family. Jake will be working a lot with his birds this weekend and I'm so excited that we get to spend the weekend with my parents and sibblings. For those of you who don't know I have three younger sibblings. They are 18, 8, and 5. Much younger siblings= A LOT OF FUN! I love having them around. Hopefully I can capture some great shots of them this weekend and share them with you.

Day: 7 The Hunger Games

Oh boy yesterday was a busy day for me. That would explain why I didnt post day 7 yesterday, and am doing it now. Between tests and class, then heading to work I did however have some time to read. I got out of two of my classes early so I decided to take advantage of that time and read. My mom got me hooked on The Hunger Games and I am on the 3rd book after only 3 weeks. I just love it. :) Not a lot else to report for the day. Heading to see the family on Friday afternoon.

EnjoyingThe Hunger Games on my Kindle :)

Day 6: Bare Feet and Freedom

Day 6
Not a lot happened today. Just the usual class then work. When I got home I decided that for dinner we'd be having chicken wrapped in bacon and and cheese. I felt the need to eat something that felt "bad" for me. I know I know, it is when you consider fat, but I'm counting carbs. It felt so nice to eat something besides fruit or cheese. Yummy!! Still pretty hard to stick to my "low carb diet" but I tell myself if I say no now, it will be easier later. I'm also determined to lose weight so that I can feel good about myself this summer. Speaking of summer, I'm so ready to have my feet free! This girl loves to go barefoot and when I can't I wear my Chacos or some sort of sandals. I just love the way I feel in the summer. Free from school and free to swim and be outside as much as possible :) Planning on taking summer classes this year but thats only half the summer, so I'm still looking forward to the freedom!

So in Love

Day 5

Last night me and Jake had a great talk. We intended to go to bed around 9:30 but didnt get to sleep until 12. It was so nice to laugh and enjoy each others company. It was nice staying up late just talking like we used to when we were dating when we talked over the phone. I realize more and more how in love I am with him and how we truly were meant to be together. All I can do is thank God he blessed me with such an amazing man and someone loves me for who I am. Today was very busy. I had a Bio. test that I feel I did well on. I'm praying I got a 90 or higher. That would take so much weight of my shoulders. I got a bad grade on the first exam of the semester so doing well this time will put me at ease. We are both so ready to head home this weekend and see our families, yet, we have lots to do this week. Be looking forward to some interesting pictures to come :)

Ever Seen a Naked Chicken?

Day 4
Well today we decided to skip church and get some things done. Our day so far...has consisted of shopping, building, studying and a trip to the farm. My husband is a Poultry Science Major and currently working with a professor on project with the University to improve the show quality in their exibition birds. The "Naked Chicken" is the product of genetic research and years of experiance and breeding. My husband does not work with the Naked Chickens during his project but I thought you might like to see this interesting sight. I was shocked at first to see them and now I enjoy watching them each time I venture our to the farm with Jake to check on his chickens. He was also very excited to show off his projects new barn. The professor he is working with will be moving barns soon so, so will the birds. I hope you enjoy this very interesting breed of chicken.
 Meet Mr. Naked Chicken  ;-)

New Cages in the new barn. My Hubby is very excited!

Hitting the Books

Day 3

Today was much enjoyed with studying....not. Me and Jake decided it'd be a good time to study early today. Around 2 I headed to work and he headed to work on his kit boxs for his pigeons. Yes, my husband raises pigeons and there will be lots of pictures to see when flying "season" comes. So today, to say the least, was not one of  ur more interesting adventures. In fitting with the mood of today, I also posted a pretty boring picture. ;) Ahhh college life!

Razorback Gymnastics

Day 2 March 2nd 2012

Today was pretty busy for us both. Jake had class and work while I had class for most of the day. Tonight we are having Easy Cheesy Potatos and Chicken. I decided to start cutting carbs out of my life so I'm going to enjoy a few of my favorite things until monday. Then...it gets serious :) Tonight after dinner we're headed to some Razorback Gymnastics. We don't get to go to sporting events very often with our busyness to this should be fun!!

I just love crockpot recipes!!

Headed to see some Razorback Gymanstics!

Welcome to our Life in Photos

After talking to a photographer friend this afternoon I decided, with her advise, that it would be a good idea to start a 365 day photo challenge. I want to use this time to introduce you to my husband, Jake, and I (Kailee). We are both students and pursuing very diffferent fields of study. We have been married for 8 months now and are very much enjoying life as a married couple. I will be using each day of the challenge to tell a story about our every day life. We're not the most exciting people on the planet but we do keep pretty busy. I hope you will be intrigued by my passion, encouraged by my words, and laugh at our crazy moments.

Today March 1st 2012 I did something for Jake that he's been on me about for some time now! I got rid of some very unneeded clothing. After class I took about 2 hours to clean my closet, get money for clothes that were in good condition, and donate the rest. The best part of it all was how happy he was that I had taken the time to do something that was important to him. I love that man!
