Day 56: The Perfect Day

I loved this Saturday! It was perfect!! Jake and I went garage selling then just goofed around town until around 11. We rented the movie Extremly Loud and Incredibly Close. I loved it, him...not so much. We spent the afternoon resting, watching tv, and Jake studied. Then tonight we enjoyed dinner at JD China then headed to play mini golf with the young/couples group from our church. I think we both had a really great time fellowing shipping with everyone. Over all, I'd say this day was perfect and I'd love to have many more like it!! :)

This is from the very first University concert Jake and I went to together. Every semester the University hosts a free concert. We only go to the country ones ;) Tonight they had Kid Cudi??? Never heard of him until the concert flyers went up. Obviously we didnt go but it reminded me of the Blake Shelton concert over a year ago.

Day 55: FRIDAY IS AWESOME!!!

I found out today that I got Photo of the Day on "Capture Arkansas" April 26th!!! That is all my excitment for the day. My photo also got lots of comments and now I even have a follower!! :) On a more boring note, I passed my oral exam for Spanish! I wish I could have done better but passing is good right?? ;) Jake and I have had a great night together just staying up and enjoying each others company. Here is the picture that got POTD!!

Day 54: Project Day

Well today I finally finished Addie's blanket. I bought the stuff to make her blanket months ago thinking I'd get a head start for her birthday. Welp, her birthday is May 9th. :) I got it all finished up though and even started working on some mother's day gifts. Today became project day and WATIING 2 1/2 HOURS ON BIRDS DAY!!! ;) We went to fly birds a little earlier than normal and they decided to hang out on the roof for almost three hours!! Crazy things got me home right in time to get ready for work! I made it though, and Jake and I had fun. Today we also found out our best friends are having a baby!!!! I'm so excited for this baby and our friends!! They are going to make great parents.

Day 53: We All Know What Today Is

My long day!! Yes, yes just like every Wednesday. I hate it! But, I only have 1 more "long wednesday" left! :) Yay! After next week "SCHOOOOOLSS OUT FOR SUMMER" I'm so excited even though I'm taking a summer class. I'll also be looking for another job if things work out. Possibly to just fit along with the one I already have. No new pictures today....again....I'm such a slacker :-/
Forgot about this! This is a baby pigeon. My husband took this. They're ugly huh?? :-s

Day 52: Animal Shelter Fun

I headed to the animal shelter again today after class. I love going to see the animals and "socialize" the cats. This coming Sunday I will be going to Orientation so I can learn to walk the dogs, work in the office, and help adopt animals out at pet smart and the farmer's market. Not being able to have pets at our apartment is really hard for me. Going to the shelter is perfect for me because I get a chance to cuddle and play with the animals while getting my volunteer hours for my scholarship out of the way! God blessed me when he sent a friend to tell me I could volunteer there. Today I'm going to show you a picture of my favorite pet. He lives with my mom and dad now but was given to me around 5 years ago. We adopted him from the animal shelter in my home town.

This is my sweet baby Elek. Not his best shot but he is so sweet. Love this guy!!

Day 51: Last week!

Ok so today begins the week wrapping up this semester. After this week its only 1 week until finals. Next week will be reviews and I'm already almost done with all of my classes anyways. I'm so excited this semester is ending. This one has been pretty tough. Between struggling in Bio. for the first few weeks, and still struggling in Spanish, summer will be a good thing!! I'm taking a summer class buts its only 1 and it only lasts 6 weeks. I can't ask for a better way to get another class out of the way! No new pictures for  today. Sorry guys :-/
This is my best friend/Maid of Honor (a year ago)/and sister! I took her senior pictures over a year ago. I really enjoyed it!!

Day 50: Church

Well this morning we went to church and really enjoyed ourselves. We love Hyland Park so much. It always makes for a great Sunday when we have a chance to go. After church we went home and had lunch, took a nap (which we NEVER do), then went and took care of Jake's bird. He even surprised me with a date night ;) We had a GREAT dinner, then headed home to watch Friends together. Thats one of our favorite shows and we really enjoy laughing and spending time together. I couldnt have asked for a better weekend. I did some editing on my pictures from the weekend. I hope you enjoy them :)

Day 49: The Park

Well after I slept in and Jake got up and did some cleaning for his mom, we headed to the park. My parents invited us to come and join in with a church get together. We love our New Hope people :) It ended up being a lot of fun. Music, food, and fellowship make for a good afternoon. A sunny day and lots of kids make for great pictures. BUT, I did also get some pictures of my neice before we left Jake's mom's house. I made out with some pretty good shots these weekend between Gracie and my little sister Addie. I love when I can make people happy doing something I love. Gracie's mom wants to make a canvas of one of the pictures I took. It makes me excited when people love and appreciate what I do, especially when its form photos I'm not being paid for ;) Then we spent the evening, after we got back to Fayetteville, with a group of other married couples. Me and Jake have been fortunate enough to have great mentors through out our first year. They started us and about 5 other couples on a "Date-Night Challenge" type thing for the next year. Each month I have to take Jake on a date, and he has to take me on one. The dates are already set up and very creative. Each month our female mentor will send us our date idea and the male will do the same for the males in the group. We are both very excited to see what God has for us over the next year!! ;)

These photos are unedited

Haha this one cracks me up. My sister is one of the most hilarious people I know!!

Day 48: Quick Trip

Friday is finally here and we're making a quick trip home. Jake sold some his old chicken raising equipment on craigslist and we're meeting the guy in Muskogee to give it to him. Even though its a quick trip, we should be able to spend time with both families. Since I've been at school and then in the car all day, I didnt have time to take pictures :( But I promise there will be some from the rest of the weekend ;)
These are from my VERY FIRST shoot. No fancy camera and no real experiance. This is the one I'm most proud of.

Day 46: Nothing to Report

Today was, as the title suggests, extremely uneventful. It was a bad day at that. I got my oil changed and found out I'm going to need new tires soon.  Having such a great husband makes things better. He is helping out big time with things of his that he is selling. It was supposed to mean some extra cash but well...we know where the money is going now. Good thing God has such a good sense of humor. He taught us a few lessons today.

I wanted to share another picture of my brother today. He's been on my mind today!! :)

Day 46: Another LONG Day

Well, the good news for the day is that I found out I'm passing Spanish. I wish my grade was better but I'll take it. Its not too bad. Today was full of class and work, which for those of you who read this, know is pretty normal. So glad school is almost over with. I'm taking summer classes but its just one and I'll have a lot more time during the summer to, hopefully find another job and get some photography jobs.

Day 45: How I Love Tuesdays

Tudesday mean fun day ;) Tuesday Jake and I get to spend quite a bit of time together since I don't work and IF he does, its only until 5. I also got to go to the Animal Shelter with a friend today. We both really enjoyed it. I like to send Jake pictures of all the dogs I like. We both fell in love with two different ones. It makes it so hard living in an apartment with such a large pet fee. I want a puppy so bad :( One day though, one day. God is going to bless us with something great, a home we both love and plenty of room for pets, pets, and pets!! (oh and of course pigeons!) I got some great shots today by the way!! ;)

Day 44: Drama Follows

Seriously?? I've been out of high school for 2 years now and stuff is still following me. Not sure of when the things I heard or understood were said, were actually said but its still annoying. So glad I have a good husband and friends to make life so good. God has truly blessed me with some amazing people to lead me, be by my side, and make my days so much fun. School is almost out for summer and I am beyond excited!!

One more shot from the pigeon fly! :)

Day 43: Lazy on a Stormy Day

The title says it all. We went to church then came home and enjoyed the afternoon. We had to go meet a guy about building Jake a barn, then we headed to feed his birds. Other than that we've spent the day at home enjoying ourselves. Right now we're watching a movie and plan to go get some icecream at Shake's afteward. This weekend has been great. I couldnt ask for more!

I wanted to show off another picture from yesterday. It also pertains to the movie we are currently watching, Cowboy Way. Jake loves this movie.

Day 42: Pigeon Fly

Headed to another pigeon fly today. Jake judged a show first then we headed towards Summers to watch a guy fly 4 of his kits. We had some lunch with the other club members then headed to Rudy to watch another fly. Spent the day with a bunch of old men and my husband but hey, it always makes for a good picture day. I always have a good time. After we got back we headed to the movies. It was a good day for the both of us. I really enjoyed myself and he got to do something he loved. It's so good to have time to spend just with each other.

Day 41: Finally!! Its Friday.

So glad me and my husband have the week to just us....finally. I love going home to see family but there is no better way to catch up on stuff at home and relax at the same time than staying here with the one I love. Micah and Moses made an apperance on campus today. Long story short, they are two guys who claim themselves as Christians then preach crazy things at us on campus. They tell us "how to identify a lesbian", "Jesus didnt say come as you are" and that "God's love is conditional. Its nothnig but crazy when they show up on campus. I decided to bring my camera along to campus because I heard a rumor that they were showing up. I got a few shots and a few videos! Jake had to work the horse festival so I went and watched with a friend. It was just a few demo things so it wasnt too exciting. :) We were both finally  home around 10. We ate dinner and enjoyed each others company. It was a good day all in all.
If you can read the pins on his shirt. Yes your probably right about what they say. I wasn't kidding when I said this guy was crazy.

Day 40: Has It Already Been 40 Days?!

Seems like I just started this blog. Yes, I'll admit, I am terrible at keeping up with it but I still love doing it. Today I got the house cleaned after class then I headed to work. Needeless to say, nothing excited happened today. Add that to the list of terribly boring days in the Stonebarger house. I'm either so busy I wanna pull my hair out or so bored I can't see straight :) Really need to get back in touch with my friend Lucie again. We've both been crazy busy and I miss her a lot. Today would have been the perfect day to just hang out and do nothing, pretty sure she had class though. Hoping to hang out with her soon!

This is one of the things I love about college. You can find awesome things just about anywhere. I found this about a year ago. Its a chalk drawing just hanging out on the sidewalk!! ;)

Day 39: I Hate Wednesdays

Wednesdays are my long days. School 8:30-4:20 then work from 5-8:30!! I hate it!! Ready for summer so I can have a totally different schedule. My fall semester is looking pretty good too. Time and difficulty have been the worst to me this semester. How did I end up with a terrible schedule, and two hard classes in the same semester. Its kicking my butt. I have no time to take new pictures, I hardly see my husband, and I feel rushed rushed rushed all the time. Welcome to adulthood I guess??\

I did my sister-in-laws dance pictures last year. I feel weird calling her that because she's only 15 so I typically just call her my sister. Most of these didnt turn out the way I planned but I definatly had a few favorites.

Day 38: "One Day Without Shoes"

Today was TOMS "One Day Without Shoes". I spent the day barefoot to help raise awarness for what the TOMS program is doinng and for all the kids in the world who do not have shoes. I was sad to see so many people wearing their TOMS but not supporting today's issue. Its sad to say but it seems to me people are giving their money to a cause they don't even believe in. I understand some people just can't go barefoot but it just rubs me wrong. I wish they were more than just shoes to everyone else!! I also found out today that I made a 96 on my bio test!!!! This exam counted for double so I went from failing to having a B! I am beyond happy! Me and Jake got to spend the day together because somehow we both were off work. It made for a totally perfect day. I couldnt ask for more than spending the day with the one I love, watching our babies fly. and finding out that its possible for me to be a good student :)

Day 37: Betta Fishies

My dear husband bought me some stuff for Betta fish today and then we went and picked out two fish. We bought two males. Their names are Rico and Harvey. I am excited to have pets finally. They may only be fish but hey I was thought of and my husband loves me enough to know I need something non-human to care for! So happy to be back into the swing of things. I also had a Bio and Spanish test today. It was a very long day after also enrolling in Fall classes and going to work. Hopeing I did good on my tests!!

Day 36: Easter Sunday

Happy Easter!! So glad me and Jake got to spend it with our family. We headed to church to watch the Easter play then headed to my parents for lunch. Jake's family also came. We had a great afternoon hiding eggs for the kids, eating, playing spades, and catching up with family. I even took some more senior pictures of Austin. Over all it was the perfect Easter. I really enjoyed the day as a whole, I can't say a lot else about it. It was just...wonderful.

Day 35: Shopping with the Family

This morning my mom asked if I wanted to go shopping with her, my dad, and oldest brother. We were going to help him pick out some nicer clothes and his graduation outfit. He likes to shop when it involves new clothes and I was just happy to be spending time with him. We don't get to hang out very much anymore and I really miss it. We didnt bring the little ones along so that made the trip slightly more enjoyable. We ended up eating at outback and heading to a few other stores afterwards before going to see 2 family members in the hospital. It had, lets just say an unexpected ending. We didnt make it back home until after 8pm and I just hung out with Jake and his family. Over all it was a pretty intersting day and I enjoyed it very much.

Day 34: Friday and Headed Home

Finally headed home again to see family for Easter. We got to see some friends of ours tonight and had a really good time. We havent had a chance to hang out with them since our weddings, the got married to weeks before Jake and I! They have been good friends to us despite us not staying connected to one another over the last few months. So glad we got to hang out with them and catch up with them. Tomorrow we are going to hang out with family and just enjoy the weekend messing with birds and enjoying much needed time of relaxation. I decided to share a wedding shot with you. I of course did not take these. If you like the shot take out skeletonkeyphotography on facebook. She did a great job.

Day 33: Yay for Birds

We're finally back on track with birds! They are moved in and getting ready to fly :) So excited!! They are so so smart and are already trained on entering their kit box when its time to eat. This is also called "trapping". They are learning so fast. They learned to eat, drink, kit, and come to Jake's call all in a matter of about 2 days. Jake is excited to have smart birds and I'm ready for some flight shots! :) I also took my new sweet babies to stay until we can take them back to Muskogee :) Unfortunatly I totally left my camera. So, I'm forced to leave you with another, old, yet favorite shot!
This shot is from my very first wedding!

Day 32: Modena Pigeons

I have the best husband a woman could ask for. I came home to candy and a trip to pick up MY new birds! :) He bought me some Modena pigeons!!! I have been wanting some for a while. I also got my TOMS "One Day Without Shoes" package in the mail today! Today turned out to be pretty great I must say! Now to tackle the rest of this week and I'll be set for a great Easter weekend with friends and family!

Day 31: Jake's babies

Well today we headed back to Fayetteville with some extra passengers. Jake brought home some babies. Baby pigeons that is :) We brought home 15 babies and they are now peacefully at home in their spacious kitbox! They will be flying soon and we are both pretty excited. First Jake has to get them trained to their new home and learn when its time to eat. When they start flying I will be takin LOTS of pictures. Action shots are my favorite so I love having the opportunity to get shots of his birds. Some of my earliest "professional camera" work came from his birds, if thats what you wanna call it anyway. I got used to my Nikon D3100 taking pictures of his pigeons and I totally loved it. Here are some pictures of our babies ;)

Day 30: The Cutest Sister

Today was so great. Jake got his barn all cleaned out and started getting his babies ready to move back to Fayetteville with us! We had a great morning but the night got even better when we went to Addie's play. The name of the play was The Saga of Sagebrush Sal. It was a childrens play and just too funny! I had a great time watching the entire thing but enjoyed it so much more when I got to watch my sister. It's obvious that my parents have found her calling. She loves it and she is very good. I think she'll enjoy it even more when she starts to get speaking parts. She was a can can dancer this time and she did a wonderful job. I love having younger siblings to enjoy! All my siblings make me so proud to be the oldest. :) Here are some super cute pictures of Addison!!

Day 29: Heading Home :)

Today after school we headed home to see family. I love weekends when we can get out of Fayetteville and go spend a great weekend with family. School has been slow this week. I guess it has something to do with being back from Spring Break. We'll be going to see my sisters play, checking out and bringing home some new baby pigeons, and no telling what else. I'm just glad to not have to work these next few nights. We're also hoping to see some of our friends this weekend!! Yay!

This is an old shot but I really wanted to share it. This is one of the shots I'm most proud of. It makes my job a lot easier when I have someone who listens and even better, comes to me with ideas of exactly what they are looking for :)
