Bye Bye Good Friend

Today, a good and new friend leaves Fayetteville behind. She is moving to Conway to UCA where they will actually work with her on school and classes. In celebration myself, her, and two other friends set out Wednesday (with my new tripod-thanks M-I-L) and took some pictures together. I ended up making her a canvas out of the picture I'll be sharing today. We've known each other a while but only recently became friends so the last few weeks have been filled with a lot of hangout time between the 4 of us. Enjoy a few pics from our photoshoot! :)

A Busy Life It Is

Well, so much for a photo a day! Life just caught up with me...along with other things. I am however, still taking pictures. I guess that matters most right?! Right! :) Starting back to school next week and I am anything but excited. I'm glad I finally have some Psychology classes this semester but I'm not looking forward to how busy I'll be between those and my Spanish class. I guess we'll see. My most recent "project" has been helping my mom create a photo wall for their house. She is turning pictures I take into canvases. I'll be sharing the photo I took of my sister since it is the most recent. I'll also include the photo of her that I submitted to a contest. I'll hear back about that contest in a few days! I also want to include a few pictures I've taken since the last time I posted. I did a natural beauty model shoot and it exceeded my expectations!

Day 74: Good Grief, this New Schedule

....Is kicking my butt. I started my new job Tuesday and have been busy all summer. I really hope I'll make myself get back intot he habit of writing here. I love it but it easily slips my mind. I do have new pictures though!! I had a photography job this past Saturday and got some awesome shots. The family was very excited about them, as was I :)

Day 73: Uhh... Sorry :)

Wow wow wow, I am WAY behind. Life has been insane these last few weeks. Since I probably couldnt really catch up, I'm just going to continue from today. There will still be 365 days. Hopefully I can continue to keep up from now on. I got a new job which I start next week. I am BEYOND excited. I'll will be a day camp couselor at The Jones Center. I love working with kids and the best part is, I'm done early and I get to sleep in my own bed! During high school I worked and was also one a camper at a summer camp that was stay over. I had kids pretty much 24/7 the last summer I was there. It was some of the best times of my life but it sure kept me tired. Jake is taking summer school and I'll be working two jobs, mostly at the Jones Center though. Hoping this summer stays going smooth and very enjoyable!
This is a photo from my most recent shoot! :) Love it!! About to do prints for this wonderful family.

Day 72: Sorry for the Confusion

One of my blogs never published and was made a draft. That explains the mess up in numbers and days. Read as usual day 70, 71, 72...etc. Day 66 is just as it says, its just out of place on the blogsite. Today I cleaned house and went to work. Not much to say. It wasnt very exciting. I wish is was though cause this is my only week off until Summer classes start. Glad I have a real 6 weeks off after that though :)

I shot this Yesterday after we made it back to Fayetteville. We stopped to fly Jake's birds and the sky was unbelievable. Pictures of the sun and sky never do the actual view justice though.

Day 66: Another Day

Well today is anothe day of studying and work. Tonight was GREAT though. Jake and I have a group of friends here and we all have the same mentor. We're kinda of like a young couples group. We have all only been together once but we're all doing the same dating challenge for the next year. Our female mentor sends us a date idea and the male mentor sends them theirs. They are very creative and interesting dates and can be modified if you like. Also, each spouse has a date each month. That means two dates a month for the next year!! YAY!! Well I did my date tonight and it was a lot of fun. I'm so glad we started this! :) Jake's date will be next week.
Found an old SD card with our first Christmas pics on it. Not sure if these are also hiding on my computer some where or not.

Day 71: Happy Birthday

Today after church we had the kids birthday party at my aunt and uncles. It was also for all the moms in our family. We had a lot of family there and really enjoyed their nice patio and the kids enjoyed the pool. I really wanted to swim but it was just a little to cold for me. Its still so hard for me to believe the kids are so old. Kyler is 9 and Addie is 6. It seems like yesterday I was at the hospital waiting for them to be born. I don't know where I'd be without either of them. Both of them have taught me so much and I love them to the end of the world. :)

Day 70: Dance Recital and Goats

Tonight was my sister-in-laws dance recital. Even though the recitals are WAY to long, I love watching her dance. She's very good and I enjoy when one of her dance's is up. After her recital I was supposed to take a few pictures but she changed right after she was done. She forgot to wait ;) After that we had dinner with all of the family. After dinner we went to my parents to surprise the kids and my mom. As I've said, the kids birthdays were this week (Kyler's was today) and of course Mothers Day is Sunday. We got them both goats. Mom was so excited and it made me very happy. The kids seem to love them too. They are dwark goats and won't get much bigger than they are now. That is the reason we picked these particular ones. Arent they cute?!

Kyler wasnt there when we first came so we had to re-surprise him later ;)

And here are the goats. Sweet little things!!

Day 69: Take a Deep Breath

Today is IT!! The Spanish final is done and over. I was so nervous. I spent the morning pacing, studying, and being sick to my stomache. My wonderful husband helped me study this morning after he got done with his test. It really helped a lot. Once it was over I felt great and realized I was very hungry. :) We headed toward home, I took Jake to Popeye's chicken for the first time. We ate lots of biscuts. We stopped to see his friends new house then made it home. We got to spend the evening with some great friends of ours!
Forgot all about these pictures. My friend gave me a disc of all my shower and wedding pictures she took and I forgot I finally put them on my computer :)

Day 68: Wrap it Up

Wrapping up the week with some final studying. Tomorrow is my Spanish test and the one I'm most worried about! I'm also hoping next week I can get back on track and actually take some new pictures. I hate that I haven't been able to keep up much. School has got me so busy and stressed. All be glad when tomorrow is over and done with. Spanish has really been a tough one for me!!

Found out my Modena's had a baby this week! So excited to go home to see the family and see my babies!! :)

Day 67: Juvenile Test

Well I had my Juvenile Deliquency test today. It took me all of 5 minutes to take it too. It was pretty simple and I'm glad it was. I went to the shelter for about an hour then went to work. So glad school is just about over!!  Summer is going to be so great.

I found this picture of my sister I took a while back. I can't believe she turned 6 today (May 9th)! Happy birthday sis!! I don't know where I'd be without you!

Day 65: I'm So Behind

So sorry I've been behind. Finals week started today and I've been studying like crazy. Today I spent the day at the Shelter, studying, and then to work I went. It wasnt much of an interesting day to say the least. I'm hoping once summer starts things will get a little more interesting. Jake and I are both taking summer classes but class is early and so work will be two. We'll both be home by 5 again which makes me really excited! Today I want to share some more edits from the weekend.

Day 64: And Again....

Worked cows again today. This day was a lot cooler and a lot more fun. It even provided for better picture opportunities. I am so blessed to have people who appreciate my work. Yesterday and today I heard a few people tell me how good my pictures are and even let me know they had been showing them off. God is so good. He blessed me with a little boost of confidence this week and possibly a future BIG photography job (in my book anyways). Even if it doesnt work out, I am so blessed and thankful that I was thought of and told my work was good enough. Here are some more pics, including edits from the weeekend!

Day 63: Working Those Cows

Woke up early, ate some breakfast and spent the day in the hot sun. All I did was take pictures and help ear tag a bit. Those men work so hard. I don't know how they do it. Round-Up weekend is always long, tough, and tiresome! So glad I got to be a part of it all for the 4th time. This is the first time I've brought my camera along though, my first shoot anyways. After we were done we got to head to see my parents. Jake's mom came too. We got to watch Addie learn how to ride her new bike :)

Unedited

Day 62: Headed to Timmons

We're headed to work cows this weekend. Expect lots of good pictures. None for today but I'm excited about a weekend long shoot! :) This should be interesting. It'll be a totally new experiance for me. I'm also hoping to get back into the swing of things and actually take daily pictures. It gets tough between school, work, and everything else we have going on. :)

Old pictures. She's grown up so much! Her birthday is in just a few days!

Day 61: Crazy Day

So today I was supposed to go Volunteer at the shelter, but that didnt happen. Wanna know what DID happen?! I stopped by a local store to waste time since I had gotten out of class early. Some how I lost my keys in the store. I panicked because I thought I'd locked them in my car...again. When I saw they weren't in my car, I REALLY panicked. I looked all over the store but I knew I hadnt laid them down. I was so confused at to what had possibly happened. After waiting 4 hours on Jake to come unlock my car (hoping they were in there somewhere) one of the sales ladies found my keys. Somehow they had gotten stuck on a hanger in the clearanc area and I didnt realize it. I remembered then that I had placed my keys under my arm. I guess the hanger snagged them right up! :( I got about 2 hours at home then headed to work. It made for a long day!
Thinking about my Chi Alpha friends this week. I miss being able to go. Hopefully next semester we'll be back on a schedule where we can.

Day 60: Great Things End

Ok so this thing, not so great but its ending. This will be my last "long day". School is done after this week until Summer classes start but thats only 1 class. Lots of prayers are needed for the following week. Here come finals! :( I am not excited for this AT ALL!

Old Main! Saying good bye for now! I'll see you next fall! :) This shot was taken during the big snow storm!

Day 59: So Sweet ;)

My husband took off work early today so we could hang out. He even surprised me with a movie :) It makes me feel so good when he thinks about me  like that. He is the sweetest. Before the movie we had a few errands to run. We ended up locking out keys in the car. Some how we both left our keys in. Thats right, two sets of keys in the same car, locked in!! lol :) I'm not sure how that worked out! We had to pay to get the car unlocked and although that part is annoying, it made for an eventful day. I think we both really enjoyed a day with each other and a nice date to top it all off :)

He's gonna be so good with our kids. He is so awesome with our neice Gracie and my younger siblings Addie and Kyler.

Day 58: LAST WEEEK

Its the last official week of school! Whose excited...me me me!! I have been disappointed with how Spanish is ending but Bio ended great. Two more tests in Spanish and I'm FREEEEE. I have to take another Spanish next semester but I've heard its easier. How much sense does that make?

Thinking of my youngest siblings today. Their birthdays are next week and I just can't believe how old they are. Seems like yesterday I was at the hospital waiting for them to arrive. Addie will be 6 and Kyler will be 9. :(

Day 57: Sunday=Funday

.....Well at least this time!! We had a pretty good and relaxing day. After church we headed to the animal shelter for orientation and "dog walking training". My husband and I are both officially trained and ready to walk dogs ;). I know what your thinking. "You have to be trained??" Yes, the shelter does this so that all volunteers are trained with what to do on how to get the dogs out of their run, into the yard, and out to play without injury or fights. Its hard to take a dog out when 30 other dogs want to be out too!! I really wish I could catch up on pictures, the end of the semester is really kicking me. I'll have lots for the weekend though!! :)

This picture is from last year, but is exactly what is happening this weekend. We'll be heading to our friend Ron's for a weekend of working cows, eating good food, and visiting with some great hard working people.

Day 56: The Perfect Day

I loved this Saturday! It was perfect!! Jake and I went garage selling then just goofed around town until around 11. We rented the movie Extremly Loud and Incredibly Close. I loved it, him...not so much. We spent the afternoon resting, watching tv, and Jake studied. Then tonight we enjoyed dinner at JD China then headed to play mini golf with the young/couples group from our church. I think we both had a really great time fellowing shipping with everyone. Over all, I'd say this day was perfect and I'd love to have many more like it!! :)

This is from the very first University concert Jake and I went to together. Every semester the University hosts a free concert. We only go to the country ones ;) Tonight they had Kid Cudi??? Never heard of him until the concert flyers went up. Obviously we didnt go but it reminded me of the Blake Shelton concert over a year ago.

Day 55: FRIDAY IS AWESOME!!!

I found out today that I got Photo of the Day on "Capture Arkansas" April 26th!!! That is all my excitment for the day. My photo also got lots of comments and now I even have a follower!! :) On a more boring note, I passed my oral exam for Spanish! I wish I could have done better but passing is good right?? ;) Jake and I have had a great night together just staying up and enjoying each others company. Here is the picture that got POTD!!

Day 54: Project Day

Well today I finally finished Addie's blanket. I bought the stuff to make her blanket months ago thinking I'd get a head start for her birthday. Welp, her birthday is May 9th. :) I got it all finished up though and even started working on some mother's day gifts. Today became project day and WATIING 2 1/2 HOURS ON BIRDS DAY!!! ;) We went to fly birds a little earlier than normal and they decided to hang out on the roof for almost three hours!! Crazy things got me home right in time to get ready for work! I made it though, and Jake and I had fun. Today we also found out our best friends are having a baby!!!! I'm so excited for this baby and our friends!! They are going to make great parents.

Day 53: We All Know What Today Is

My long day!! Yes, yes just like every Wednesday. I hate it! But, I only have 1 more "long wednesday" left! :) Yay! After next week "SCHOOOOOLSS OUT FOR SUMMER" I'm so excited even though I'm taking a summer class. I'll also be looking for another job if things work out. Possibly to just fit along with the one I already have. No new pictures today....again....I'm such a slacker :-/
Forgot about this! This is a baby pigeon. My husband took this. They're ugly huh?? :-s

Day 52: Animal Shelter Fun

I headed to the animal shelter again today after class. I love going to see the animals and "socialize" the cats. This coming Sunday I will be going to Orientation so I can learn to walk the dogs, work in the office, and help adopt animals out at pet smart and the farmer's market. Not being able to have pets at our apartment is really hard for me. Going to the shelter is perfect for me because I get a chance to cuddle and play with the animals while getting my volunteer hours for my scholarship out of the way! God blessed me when he sent a friend to tell me I could volunteer there. Today I'm going to show you a picture of my favorite pet. He lives with my mom and dad now but was given to me around 5 years ago. We adopted him from the animal shelter in my home town.

This is my sweet baby Elek. Not his best shot but he is so sweet. Love this guy!!

Day 51: Last week!

Ok so today begins the week wrapping up this semester. After this week its only 1 week until finals. Next week will be reviews and I'm already almost done with all of my classes anyways. I'm so excited this semester is ending. This one has been pretty tough. Between struggling in Bio. for the first few weeks, and still struggling in Spanish, summer will be a good thing!! I'm taking a summer class buts its only 1 and it only lasts 6 weeks. I can't ask for a better way to get another class out of the way! No new pictures for  today. Sorry guys :-/
This is my best friend/Maid of Honor (a year ago)/and sister! I took her senior pictures over a year ago. I really enjoyed it!!

Day 50: Church

Well this morning we went to church and really enjoyed ourselves. We love Hyland Park so much. It always makes for a great Sunday when we have a chance to go. After church we went home and had lunch, took a nap (which we NEVER do), then went and took care of Jake's bird. He even surprised me with a date night ;) We had a GREAT dinner, then headed home to watch Friends together. Thats one of our favorite shows and we really enjoy laughing and spending time together. I couldnt have asked for a better weekend. I did some editing on my pictures from the weekend. I hope you enjoy them :)

Day 49: The Park

Well after I slept in and Jake got up and did some cleaning for his mom, we headed to the park. My parents invited us to come and join in with a church get together. We love our New Hope people :) It ended up being a lot of fun. Music, food, and fellowship make for a good afternoon. A sunny day and lots of kids make for great pictures. BUT, I did also get some pictures of my neice before we left Jake's mom's house. I made out with some pretty good shots these weekend between Gracie and my little sister Addie. I love when I can make people happy doing something I love. Gracie's mom wants to make a canvas of one of the pictures I took. It makes me excited when people love and appreciate what I do, especially when its form photos I'm not being paid for ;) Then we spent the evening, after we got back to Fayetteville, with a group of other married couples. Me and Jake have been fortunate enough to have great mentors through out our first year. They started us and about 5 other couples on a "Date-Night Challenge" type thing for the next year. Each month I have to take Jake on a date, and he has to take me on one. The dates are already set up and very creative. Each month our female mentor will send us our date idea and the male will do the same for the males in the group. We are both very excited to see what God has for us over the next year!! ;)

These photos are unedited

Haha this one cracks me up. My sister is one of the most hilarious people I know!!

Day 48: Quick Trip

Friday is finally here and we're making a quick trip home. Jake sold some his old chicken raising equipment on craigslist and we're meeting the guy in Muskogee to give it to him. Even though its a quick trip, we should be able to spend time with both families. Since I've been at school and then in the car all day, I didnt have time to take pictures :( But I promise there will be some from the rest of the weekend ;)
These are from my VERY FIRST shoot. No fancy camera and no real experiance. This is the one I'm most proud of.

Day 46: Nothing to Report

Today was, as the title suggests, extremely uneventful. It was a bad day at that. I got my oil changed and found out I'm going to need new tires soon.  Having such a great husband makes things better. He is helping out big time with things of his that he is selling. It was supposed to mean some extra cash but well...we know where the money is going now. Good thing God has such a good sense of humor. He taught us a few lessons today.

I wanted to share another picture of my brother today. He's been on my mind today!! :)

Day 46: Another LONG Day

Well, the good news for the day is that I found out I'm passing Spanish. I wish my grade was better but I'll take it. Its not too bad. Today was full of class and work, which for those of you who read this, know is pretty normal. So glad school is almost over with. I'm taking summer classes but its just one and I'll have a lot more time during the summer to, hopefully find another job and get some photography jobs.

Day 45: How I Love Tuesdays

Tudesday mean fun day ;) Tuesday Jake and I get to spend quite a bit of time together since I don't work and IF he does, its only until 5. I also got to go to the Animal Shelter with a friend today. We both really enjoyed it. I like to send Jake pictures of all the dogs I like. We both fell in love with two different ones. It makes it so hard living in an apartment with such a large pet fee. I want a puppy so bad :( One day though, one day. God is going to bless us with something great, a home we both love and plenty of room for pets, pets, and pets!! (oh and of course pigeons!) I got some great shots today by the way!! ;)

Day 44: Drama Follows

Seriously?? I've been out of high school for 2 years now and stuff is still following me. Not sure of when the things I heard or understood were said, were actually said but its still annoying. So glad I have a good husband and friends to make life so good. God has truly blessed me with some amazing people to lead me, be by my side, and make my days so much fun. School is almost out for summer and I am beyond excited!!

One more shot from the pigeon fly! :)

Day 43: Lazy on a Stormy Day

The title says it all. We went to church then came home and enjoyed the afternoon. We had to go meet a guy about building Jake a barn, then we headed to feed his birds. Other than that we've spent the day at home enjoying ourselves. Right now we're watching a movie and plan to go get some icecream at Shake's afteward. This weekend has been great. I couldnt ask for more!

I wanted to show off another picture from yesterday. It also pertains to the movie we are currently watching, Cowboy Way. Jake loves this movie.
